Kaia-Birgit (KB) has been on staff since 2016 and is excited to be back again! She graduated from Loyola University Chicago in 2020 with a BA in Theatre. In her free time she enjoys reading, roller skating and traveling.

Dagny is from Belleville, IL (near St. Louis, MO). She is currently studying business management and environmental studies at the University of Kansas where she is in the Marching Band and Basketball Band! Dagny was a camper for four years and she can’t wait to be back at Masse Moro. 

Olaf is from Coon Rapids, MN. He's gone to camp for 6 years as a camper, and this will be his third year on staff. He's looking forward to seeing new and returning campers again this year!

Freya started coming to Masse Moro when she was 9 years old and is now on staff! She is so excited to have fun at camp this year.  Freya loves theater, choir, the outdoors and crafting. Her favorite part of camp is the viking olympics at the end of camp.

Yvonne is from Sand Creek, WI and is going to be a senior in high school. She was a camper for 2 years but loved it so much that she couldn't wait to come back as a staff member! She is most looking forward to making new memories and helping other campers make memories!

Stian is from Marion, Iowa and is a senior at Linn-Mar High School where he plays in the marching band and runs cross country and track. He has been attending Masse Moro since 2019 and is excited for his first year as a counselor.

​Roald is from Marion, Iowa and has attended camp since he was 12. He looks forward to teaching the Norwegian language to campers, and hopes to provide good memories to all of the campers.

Johan is going into his senior year of high school and was a camper for 7 years! One of his hobbies is going out to car shows and learning about cars. He is so excited to be joining the counseling staff this year! 

Johanne has been the rosemaling instructor at Masse Moro since 2003.  Rosemaling since her 20’s, she has taken many classes with Vesterheim Gold Medalists and even Norwegian rosemalers. In 2015-2017, she studied under Pam Rucinski, VGM the Gubrandsdal style of rosemaling through the Wisconsin Arts board apprenticeship program. She has traveled to Norway and Sweden with the Vesterheim folk art tours. In 2019 she was awarded a Fellowship through the American Scandinavian Foundation to study folk art painting in Sweden .  She has also received over the years numerous awards for her rosemaling, including two Best of Shows at the Wisconsin State Rosemaling Association competition. She looks forward each year coming to Masse Moro to share her knowledge.

With a background in emergency medical services as a registered nurse and paramedic, I'm here to ensure everyone stays healthy, happy, and safe throughout our adventure-packed summer.
